Macworld Rumors
January 13th, 2008Being only a few days before the Macworld 08 keynote there are alot of rumors spreading around about what will be unveiled. One site that I found that has the most of these is Portable Media Player Daily News. They have an extensive list of all the major ones and some lesser known ones. Probably the most plausible would be the MacBook Nano (ultraportable Mac laptop) and the updates to the current product lines.
Buying into these such rumors, true or not, just spoils the effect the keynote will have. If one of the rumors doesn’t come to fruition and you wanted it to, you will be disappointed. If a rumored product does come, then you will already know about it, and the surprise won’t be there. Regardless of what anyone says, people will want to believe these rumors, so I may as well touch on them.
My favorite of all of these would have to be the MacBook Nano. It is rumored to have either 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz low voltage Intel Core 2 Duos, either 32GB or 64GB of Solid State Storage (flash), and will have 10 hours of battery life. The rumored price tag on this is not pretty, $1500-2000.
The release of the iPhone SDK is also rumored. This will allow people to modify their iPhones with out having to hack it to place third party software on it, the software will be written to run on them already. A new version of the iPhone may also come about, this one will have 3G support.
I’m not saying that these are all true, but I’m not saying they are not. We will have to wait until Tuesday the 15th to find out. ;D
